FOREIGN LEGAL CONSULTANT IN THE LAW OF MEXICO, REGISTERED BY THE STATE BAR OF CALIFORNIA
“But if you want to be a true professional, you will do something outside yourself, something to repair tears in your community, something to make life a little better for people less fortunate than you.”
Ruth B. Ginsburg
Julita Ledesma
I have been so privileged to live and study law in three different countries in which I can say I have happily succeeded in my academic, professional, and personal goals.
I have worked in the practice of the Law of Mexico even before obtaining my License as an Attorney in 1992, which has given me extensive experience, as well as having worked in the different levels of the Mexican Executive and Judicial branches of the government of Mexico.
Having also served a diverse community in the Consulate of México in Sacramento, California and dealing personally with the laws of other countries as a foreigner, has given me a better understanding of the legal necessities that we have as immigrants not only legally, but also to maintain the roots of our country of origin and still embrace our new homeland’s gifts.
I am the author of a specialized law book ¨Las Obligaciones de Hacer (Duties to Perform)¨ that was published in Spain in 1999. I enjoy Continuing Legal Education in all the areas of my practice with diverse high profile academic organizations, since the law is always adapting to new realities.
